Seller
The seller is Emstra tölvuþjónusta ehf. (Emstra IT services), reg. no. 571025-1240, Öldugerði 4, 860 Hvolsvöllur, Iceland. Email [email protected], phone +354 856 2400, VAT no. 158976. Emstra sells software subscriptions, including Píla and Support, and services such as website development.
Scope
A subscription is access to a service that renews automatically every month or year. A club is an association, such as a darts club, that buys a club subscription for its activities. A code is a discount code or a code that gives free access for a period. Some things are free and stay free: for example, taking part in a night or club event in Píla never needs a subscription. Each product's pricing page lists what each plan includes.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout before you pay, including VAT for consumers. In Iceland you pay in ISK through Kling, and card payments are processed by Straumur greiðslumiðlun hf. Outside Iceland, Paddle.com is the merchant of record: Paddle sells the subscription on Emstra's behalf, collects local taxes and handles refunds, and Paddle's terms also apply. Emstra never stores card numbers. If a payment fails, the processor retries over the following days; if it still fails, paid features pause until payment succeeds. Your data is not deleted.
Subscriptions, cancellation and codes
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period. You can cancel any time in your subscription settings or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and access continues until then. Price changes are announced by email at least 30 days in advance and apply from the next renewal after that. Free-access codes last the stated number of days and do not renew. A code can be used once per account or club and has no cash value. A club subscription is bought by the club's owner on the club's behalf, and members need no subscription of their own to take part in club events.
Right of withdrawal and refunds
Consumers may withdraw from a subscription within 14 days of the first purchase, under the Icelandic Consumer Contracts Act no. 16/2016. Emstra then refunds in full, whether or not the service has been used. Email [email protected] with your name, account email and purchase date; the refund goes to the original payment method within 14 days. The right applies to the first purchase, not to automatic renewals. After 14 days, the rest of a period is not refunded on cancellation, but access continues until the end of the paid period. Purchases by clubs or companies are not consumer purchases. Outside Iceland, Paddle's refund policy applies.
Use, liability and changes
You are responsible for your account and the content you add, and may not use the service to break the law or others' rights. If the service is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours because of Emstra, your subscription is extended by the same time. Emstra's liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months and excludes indirect loss. This does not limit consumers' statutory rights. Changes that reduce your rights are announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
Law and contact
Emstra handles personal data under its privacy policy. Payment records are kept for 7 years as required by the Icelandic Accounting Act no. 145/1994. Icelandic law applies, and disputes go to the District Court of South Iceland (Héraðsdómur Suðurlands). Consumers may also turn to the Icelandic Complaints Committee on Goods and Services. Questions and complaints: [email protected]. We reply within 5 working days.
